SPD's Type 1 and Type 2 with integrated fuse

TEC T1SFProTec T1SF

Raycap’s new ProTec T1SF Series is based on Raycap’s patented Phase Gas Discharge Tube (PGDT) technology, and a new integrated overcurrent technology. The products ensure safe thermal and fault-current disconnection on networks with prospective short circuit currents as low as 300A and as high as 75,000A. On networks with prospective currents, SPDs with integrated fuses provide enhanced safety and fault-current protection due to the coordinated tripping characteristics of the thermal disconnect and integrated fuse.

  • Patented PGDT surge protection technology

  • Integrated backup fuse

  • Leakage-current free

  • Shorter connecting cables – low voltage protection level

  • Reduced installation space requirements, costs, wiring time and complexity

  • Sensitive and reliable state-of-the-art disconnector

  • Visual and remote signalization of the device status

  • Short circuit current rating up to 100 kA*

Compact Type 1 SPD's

ProTec T1S

ProTec T1S products are DIN rail mounted products designed in a compact pluggable housing for use as a Class I+II/Type 1+2 Surge Protective Device (SPD). They can be combined with Type 2 or Type 3 SPDs. ProTec T1S features Raycap’s proprietary Phase-GDT (PGDT) that has been developed to optimize both voltage switching and voltage limiting SPD technologies to create an ideal Class I SPD in a DIN Rail design – where a compact package is possible using voltage switching technology but without the drawbacks of a high residual voltage or poor follow current rating. ProTec T1S uses a multi-cell, encapsulated GDT technology, to achieve a residual voltage like that of an MOV-based SPD, but in a footprint half the size of the market competition and without restrictions governing where on a network it may be installed
